Our U18 Hurricanes team are in the semi-finals of the EBFA Cup after beating the Farnham Royal Mavericks 5-2 at Clayfield Copse on last week.
The team was excellent. In the first 20 minutes they were unplayable - Jamie Olive could have had a hat trick if it wasn't for the post (first goal officially at 1:14 - fastest goal of the season contender!?). There were plenty of other chances too.
Farnham pulled it back to 3-2, but we were still dominant. Joe Robert's sweeping run to the bye line and the cutback to Louis Shankland was excellent; but Louis' finish was even better - a rocket! (he was voted MoTM and deservedly so. Not just for his great goal but his attacking and defensive performance too). Joe finished off the scoring with a good penalty.
The next round will be held in the new year with an appearance in the final in May (hopefully).
Well done boys.
