With Caversham's regular defenders unavailable it was a makeshift formation that took to the field at Clayfield Copse for a friendly against Winnersh Rangers Stingers. With Daisy, Tia and Ruby playing in defence it created the opportunity for extra game time for Leah, Helena, Issy and Saffron to make claims on the regular midfield and striker positions. Caversham went a goal behind as they consistently struggled to play the ball out from the goal kicks. A change of formation in the second half following the arrival of Martha, Anna and Grace saw the game turn around in terms of pressure. Tia, the player of the match, consistently caused problems for Winnersh going forward and as the 8 players from Winnersh tired an equaliser looked inevitable. Credit to the Winnersh goal keeper for some excellent saves and to their defence for some excellent defending, but Caversham came away disappointed after Tia and Ruby couldn't convert some well created chances.
