Caversham and Wargrave played out a goalless draw at Clayfield Copse in a friendly due to the half term break in BCGFL fixtures. It was a solid and organised performance from Caversham especially in defence. Newly signed Saffron made her Caversham debut and read the game well in defence alongside player of the match Niamh. Helen once again put in a stella performance in the middle of the back three. Martha and Serena both had good games in goal with good handling and confident kicking. With Wargrave flying high at the top of BCGFL Division 1 this was a real test for Caversham despite Wargrave resting a couple of their star players for this game. Despite Wargrave's slick passing game they struggled to break down the Caversham defence and clear cut chances were few and far between. Evie was a handful for the Wargrave defence and with support from Helena up front and Daisy and Grace battling through the midfield Caversham always looked dangerous on the break, but in a game of few chances at either end a winning goal would have been harsh on either team.
