Caversham were unfortunate to come away from a freezing Victoria Road Recreation Ground with no points after a close and competitive game against Tilehurst Panthers Colts. With Leah making her Caversham debut in defence and with Martha having an outstanding game between the sticks, Tilehurst were limited to very few clear cut opportunities in front of goal. Although Martha was the busier keeper the best chances fell to Caversham with Daisy, Ruby, Tia and Evie all creating excellent chances in the second half which they would have been disappointed not to finish. The only goal of the game came midway through the second half, but this only served to kick start Caversham and they were unfortunate not to find an equaliser after a good display of attacking football. Player of the match Izzy caused problems for the opposition defence, but credit to Tilehurst for a committed and well organised performance.
