Caversham extended their unbeaten run to 5 games with a good performance away to Boyne Hill at their Summerleaze ground. Tia opened the scoring with her 3rd goal of the season through a well taken shot into the bottom corner after a neat pass from Evie unlocked the Boyne Hill defence. With Daisy, Grace and Ruby working hard to control the midfield and Martha stepping into central defence with an assured performance, Serena had little to deal with in the first half. The second half saw Boyne Hill come out strong, but the defence held with Niamh, Saffron and particularly Olivia having really good games in defence. Midway through the second half Evie took the ball from the half way line, beat the Boyne Hill defence and finished well for her 9th goal of the season. Boyne Hill still continued to attack and were unfortunate not to get a goal back at 2-0. However with just a few minutes remaining a Grace pass found Daisy on the edge of box, who shrugged of the defender and placed a right footed strike past the Boyne Hill keeper to ensure Caversham left with all 3 points. Daisy's delight in opening her account this season was clear for all to see and it capped a good overall performance that earned her player of the match.
