Caversham shared the points at Laurel Park in a close and competitive BCGFL fixture. Despite taking an early lead through a well worked Evie goal against an under strength Laurel Park, it was clear that Caversham would be in for a difficult game against talented opposition. Caversham defended well in the first half, but were always struggling to contain Laurel Park's attacking players. When Laurel Park equalised and then took the lead before half time there could be little complaint from Caversham as they struggled to control the game. The second half saw an improvement as Caversham took advantage of having a larger squad of players and they found an equaliser when Evie sprung the defence to run clear and beat the keeper one on one. With Caversham now controlling the game they were unfortunate to go behind again from a goal against the run of play. With ten minutes remaining player of the match Tia again ran clear to find the equaliser after her shot found the bottom corner leaving the keeper with no chance of making the save. With the game heading for a draw in the dying seconds Evie got clear, but a fine save denied her a hatrick and the keeper held onto the shot preventing Ruby finishing the rebound. It would have been harsh on the Laurel Park players who had put in a big effort to play the game with seven players.
