Woodley Utd x - x Caversham AFC

Caversham AFC have it all to do if they are to qualify for the BCGFL Spring Cup Final after losing a close contest with Woodley United in a second double header at Kensington Road recreation ground. Woodley started well and took an early lead through a fantastic strike that gave Daisy Mifflin no chance in goal. However Caversham battled well to stay in the game with Niamh Moore being the standout player in defence. After the break, Caversham began to control the midfiled and and created 3 or 4 really good chances that unfortunately Ruby Lethbridge, Tia Evans and Serena Whitehead just failed to convert. A late goal on the break against the run of play sealed it for Woodley, but it was harsh on Caversham who deserved something from the game.
