On the day that #FootballRemembers the WW1 Christmas cease fire of 1914, Caversham AFC visited Wargrave recreation ground to take on Wargrave girls. After having a fantastic start to the season that has seen Wargrave dominate the BCGFL and win the Autumn Cup, this was a day to get as many players as much pitch time as possible for both teams with a number of Wargrave's key players being rested and managers agreeing to play 8 a-side for this game. A fiercely competitive game failed to see either side score in what was a rare 0-0 draw for the BCGFL. Amber Harrison and Ciara Ridge were the stand out players for Caversham and although clear goal scoring opportunities were hard to come by because of excellent defending from both sides, both teams had good chances to win the game towards the end of the match.
