Caversham slipped to defeat in a hard fought game against Goring Robins at Clayfield Copse. A tight first half saw Goring make the better chances, but they were kept at bay by strong defending and goal keeping. Just before half time a defensive mix up saw the ball handled in the penalty area when Caversham thought the game had been stopped. Daisy Mifflin got a good hand to the resulting penalty, but it was not enough to keep the ball out. Goring scored again mid way through the second half from a well worked move after a number of good saves from Grace Carr had kept Caversham in the game. Caversham finished strongly, but struggled to make their chances count against a strong and well organised Goring.
