German Exchange
For 30 years Caversham AFC have organised a German Exchange Football tour for the U13 boys age group. The club are linked to a team in Dusseldorf ‘DSV04’.
In that time we have hosted over 480 different young people from Germany and enabled the same number of Caversham boys to experience travel abroad to play football.
This annual event for the U13 boys has been very successful in fostering better links & understanding of our continental partners.
Usually the DSV04 team, parents and relatives come to Caversham during the Easter Holidays. The return trip for Caversham AFC is usually arranged over the late May Bank Holiday.
Over both weekends a series of matches and social events are organised, which are very successful. DSV04 boys are hosted by Caversham AFC player families and DSV04 player families host Caverham AFC Boys. This works really well and at the end of both weekends really good friends are made.
