History

Caversham AFC,formerly known as Caversham Boys and Girls F.C. was founded in 1970 and has grown to become one of the biggest youth football clubs in the Reading area. Since 2005 the club has expanded to once again have a girls squads in many age groups.


The club now has approximately 500 registered players covering all age groups from U6 to U17, we also have a senior men's football squad.

Clubs Aim and Objectives

The Club is a non profit making organisation and operates in accordance with its CONSTITUTION and operates a strict code of conduct code of conduct.

  • To provide facilities for those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to play football.
  • To encourage sportsmanship amongst players, parents or guardians and spectators both on and off the playing field.
  • To attempt to make football an enjoyable family recreation.
  • To encourage friendship and comradeship amongst families and players associated with the club.
  • To give practical assistance to any such organisation that the Committee deems deserving of such assistance.
  • To provide opportunities for players to have the best standard of coaching possible.
